"History of Keuken van Elsje"
Keuken van Elsje is a Dutch family restaurant that has been passed down for generations. The restaurant is located at the base of a historic Indische-Architecture building that has been well-preserved. Since opening in December 2016, we have modified our house into a warm and homey family restaurant.
The restaurant is owned by Elsje's daughter, Esther, Esther's sister-in-law, and Elsje's grandson, Kevin, since December 2016. During that time, the restaurant has grown considerably, both in food and experience. We offer authentic Dutch, Indonesian, and Western menus that are delicious and made from fresh and high-quality ingredients. Almost everything we serve at Keuken van Elsje is made from scratch, including our menus which are based on Elsje's own recipes passed down from generation to generation. Here, you can experience the authentic flavors of the Dutch family heritage.
