Keuken van Elsje is a Dutch family restaurant that uses traditional family recipes. Some of the dishes served at Keuken van Elsje were previously served at a family restaurant called Elita Restoran in the 1920s. According to Opa and Oma Elsje, several national heroes of Indonesia were regular customers and enjoyed the food at Elita Restoran. Now, you can enjoy these dishes with the same recipe that has been passed down for generations at Keuken van Elsje. 

The home of Oma Elsje's grandparents was built in the 19th century and now has been transformed into Keuken van Elsje, a warm and welcoming family restaurant. Situated at the base of a well-preserved historic Indische-Architecture building, Keuken van Elsje has been owned by Elsje's daughter, Esther, her sister-in-law, and Elsje's grandson, Kevin, since its opening in December 2016. Keuken van Elsje has grown significantly, both in terms of its food and overall experience. We offer authentic Dutch, Indonesian, and Western menus that are delicious and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
